RIO VERDE
Rio verde Camping and farmhouse is located near Gubbio, in the Natural Park of Monte Cucco in a valley crossed by the Chiascio river. The altitude is only 500 meters but, being surrounded by mountains, in the evening, even in the summer, the climate is cool thanks to the dense trees that characterize the area.
The pitches are numbered but there are no square borders so as to avoid the feeling of "parking" typical of the city.
For those who prefer an alternative accommodation to the camping we have 14 bungalows equipped with insulated roofs that make the interior cool even with the highest temperatures. All the bungalows are equipped with kitchen and all kitchen utensils, veranda and shower room.
It is the ideal place for those who want to regenerate in nature and breathe pure air, for those who like to relax or to play sports in the quiet of the countryside.
It's a real paradise for kids.

The Grotta di Monte Cucco is among the largest in the world. From the entrance , located on the summit of Monte Cucco, along the path n.2, it extends inside the mountain for several kilometers ,a difference in altitude of over 1000 meters, forming ponds and tunnels.
The Rio freddo creek, goes from Pian delle Macinare downward creating waterfalls of different heights against the rocks. It give a great chance to the most adventurous who wish to practice canyoning to have an amazing emotion.
